This Privacy Policy explains how IMR Hero Bot collects, uses, stores, and protects data when used in Discord servers.

IMR Hero Bot is a Discord bot created for the Infinite Magicraid community. The bot provides game-support features such as hero information, aura information, echo information, stone information, pet information, food information, tier list lookups, damage calculations, event reminders, community support tools, and server safety tools.

By using IMR Hero Bot in a Discord server, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Access

IMR Hero Bot may access the following Discord data when needed to provide its features:

Discord user IDs
Discord server IDs
Discord channel IDs
Discord role IDs
Message content sent in channels where the bot is active
Message content sent in direct messages to the bot
Command names, command options, and interaction data
Server configuration settings, such as selected bot channels, support channels, event channels, reminder channels, language settings, role settings, and safety/moderation settings

The bot may also use game-related data, such as hero information, tier list data, aura data, echo data, pet data, food data, and event information. This game data is not personal user data.

2. Why We Use This Data

IMR Hero Bot uses Discord data only to provide bot features.

This includes:

Responding to slash commands
Responding to text-based game lookups in configured bot channels
Matching typed hero names, aura names, echo names, item names, gift code phrases, and other game terms
Providing game guides, tier list information, and damage calculation tools
Sending event reminders and server notifications
Managing server-specific bot settings
Helping server staff with support or debugging issues
Preventing abuse or misuse of restricted bot commands
Detecting possible scam, phishing, spam, suspicious links, adult/NSFW links, duplicate messages, burst spam, and mass mention abuse
Sending log-only Scam Guard reports to configured private moderator or staff channels

The bot does not use Discord data for advertising, profiling, selling user data, or tracking users across Discord servers.

3. Message Content

IMR Hero Bot may read message content when this is required for bot functionality.

Message content may be used when:

A user types a hero name, aura name, echo name, item name, gift code phrase, or other game-related lookup in a configured bot channel
A user sends a direct message to the bot
An approved bot maintainer uses restricted maintenance or update commands
A message is sent in a configured support or debugging channel
A message is checked by Scam Guard for possible scam, phishing, spam, suspicious links, adult/NSFW links, duplicate messages, burst spam, or mass mention abuse

Normal lookup messages are processed so the bot can understand the request and send the correct response.

IMR Hero Bot does not store ordinary user lookup messages in a separate database.

4. Support and Debugging Messages

Some configured support or debugging channels may forward messages to a private internal staff channel.

This is used only to help with support requests, bug reports, moderation issues, or bot troubleshooting.

Only approved staff or maintainers should have access to these private support/debug channels.

5. Scam Guard and Safety Logs

IMR Hero Bot includes a safety feature called Scam Guard.

Scam Guard may read message content in configured servers and channels to help detect possible:

Scam or phishing messages
Suspicious links or lookalike domains
Adult/NSFW links
Spam activity
Duplicate or repeated messages
Burst spam
Mass mentions
@everyone or @here abuse

When suspicious activity is detected, IMR Hero Bot may send a log-only report to a configured private moderator or staff channel inside Discord.

A Scam Guard report may include:

The Discord user involved
The message content that triggered the detection
The reason the message was flagged
The source server and channel
A Discord jump link to the original message
The time of the detection

Scam Guard reports are used only to help server staff review possible harmful activity and protect their community.

IMR Hero Bot does not automatically punish users based on Scam Guard detections. Server staff are responsible for reviewing reports and deciding what action, if any, should be taken.

Scam Guard reports are posted inside Discord to configured moderator or staff channels. IMR Hero Bot does not store Scam Guard message content in a separate off-platform database.

Server owners or administrators can disable Scam Guard by removing the bot’s access to channels, changing the bot configuration, or removing the bot from the server.

6. Data We Store

IMR Hero Bot may store server configuration data required for the bot to work correctly.

This may include:

Server IDs
Channel IDs
Role IDs
User IDs for approved bot maintainers or restricted permissions
Bot settings chosen by server administrators
Event reminder settings
Language or region settings
Safety/moderation configuration settings
Other configuration needed for bot features

The bot does not intentionally store normal user message content from regular game lookups in a separate database.

Scam Guard reports may include message content, but these reports are posted inside configured Discord moderator or staff channels and are used only for safety review.

7. Data Sharing

IMR Hero Bot does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

Data may be shared only in limited situations:

With Discord, as part of normal Discord bot operation
With approved bot staff or maintainers where needed for support, debugging, safety review, or moderation
With server staff through configured Scam Guard, support, or debugging log channels
If required by law or to protect the security of the bot, its users, or Discord servers using the bot

IMR Hero Bot does not share user data with advertisers or third-party marketing services.

8. Data Retention

Server configuration data is kept for as long as it is needed to provide bot features.

If IMR Hero Bot is removed from a server, server owners may request deletion of stored server configuration data associated with that server.

Support or debugging messages forwarded to private staff channels may remain in Discord unless deleted by staff or requested for deletion where appropriate.

Scam Guard reports posted to private moderator or staff channels may remain in Discord unless deleted by server staff or requested for deletion where appropriate.

Ordinary user lookup messages are processed in memory and are not intentionally stored by IMR Hero Bot in a separate database.

9. Data Deletion Requests

Users or server owners may request deletion of data associated with IMR Hero Bot.

To request deletion, contact the bot developer on Discord:

Please include enough information to identify the relevant data, such as:

Your Discord user ID
The Discord server ID, if the request is server-related
A short explanation of what data you want deleted

We will review and respond to deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.

Some data may need to be retained if required for security, abuse prevention, legal reasons, or legitimate bot operation.

10. Data Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect bot data and restrict access to approved maintainers.

However, no online service or system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid sending sensitive personal information to the bot.

11. Children’s Privacy

IMR Hero Bot is intended for use within Discord and follows Discord’s own age requirements.

The bot is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children outside the normal operation of Discord.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

If major changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
